WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Lead and oversee a mechanical design team consisting of Project Engineers and Designers to ensure high-quality project delivery. Drive the development and review of complex engineering calculations, including HVAC load calculations, fan static pressure analysis, hydraulic calculations/modeling, and isometric analyses by Project Mechanical Engineers. Coordinate scheduling of field surveys and support the development of HVAC and Central Utility system layout and design, in collaboration with the Project Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Designers. Coordinate closely with multi-disciplinary teams – including architects, other engineering disciplines, client representatives, facility operations, and contractors – to ensure cohesive project integration. Conduct facility infrastructure assessments, infrastructure/utility master planning, and perform code and energy evaluations. Lead the development of airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, zoning plans, and classification plans for Pharmaceutical and Life Science applications. Lead the development of equipment specifications, based on company standards, and in coordination with specific client and equipment vendor requirements. Manage the review of equipment submittals and shop drawings, prepare timely responses to RFI’s, and create punch list development and resolution. Assist the Chief Automation Engineer in the development of Instrumentation and Control Design for Mechanical systems.
