About The Position

Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Mechanical Process Group. This position will design mechanical systems for the Food Process industry. #shambaugh #LI-TS #LI-Onsite

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ years of experience.
Self-motivated and committed to learn.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Specific interest in a career in designing Utility-HVAC-Plumbing systems using the Design-Build approach.
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required

Nice To Haves

Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus.
Autodesk AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings or computer-generated reports.
Assisting drafters in developing the structural design of products.
Using drafting tools or computer-assisted design software.
Conferring with other professionals to implement operating procedures.
Resolving product malfunctions or providing technical recommendations.
Recommending design modifications to eliminate product malfunctions.
Conducting research that tests or analyzes the performance of equipment.
Investigating product difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.
Testing models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility.
Other duties as assigned.
