About The Position

Windsor is seeking motivated individuals who love to learn, grow their skills, and help their teammates do the same. The Senior Mechanical Engineer & Project Manager will drive business development and project delivery in the HVAC specialty of MEP—leading teams to create efficient, sustainable solutions while building and fostering strong client relationships and mentoring junior members. In addition to technical and project management expertise, this role includes active participation in business development efforts to help identify new opportunities, expand client relationships, and contribute to Windsor’s long-term growth. Their consulting, leadership, and relationship-building skills will be key in optimizing building systems, ensuring quality, and delivering exceptional client service across diverse projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in the MEP design industry
  • HVAC design experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as Project Manager preferred
  • Experience with business development preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects as Lead Engineer and/or Project Manager, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee project documentation, design quality, and adherence to Windsor’s Quality Management Plan (QMP).
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated design solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to verify conditions, assess system performance, and support construction administration.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor and technical resource.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities through proactive relationship building, networking, and market awareness.
  • Support proposal development and estimating, including scope definition and fee preparation.
  • Participate in client presentations, interviews, and business development meetings to promote Windsor’s capabilities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic accounts and explore opportunities for new markets or service lines.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Develop and apply in-depth knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and sustainability practices to enhance energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
