About The Position

The Senior Mechanical Engineer Lead at Jacobs is responsible for leading advanced facilities projects in the life sciences sector, focusing on the design and implementation of HVAC, utility, plumbing, and fire protection systems. This role involves both supporting and leading projects, ensuring technical quality and adherence to client expectations, while also mentoring junior team members. The position is hybrid, allowing for remote work with occasional office presence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of practical application of mechanical engineering and design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Ability to lead a medium to large team of designers and engineers.
• Strong collaboration skills in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with cGMP systems preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient working knowledge of Revit or SmartPlant software.
• Industrial design experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or semiconductor facilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of lean practices and sustainability in construction.
