About The Position
We're hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Hydro-Mechanical, Actuation & Pneumatic Valve Design Group. In this role, you'll support product development, run tests, and create parts and designs while following key engineering and safety standards. The Hydro-Mechanical, Actuation & Pneumatic Valve Design Group is responsible for hydro-mechanical components, including jet fuel controls with functions such as flow division, fuel metering, pressure regulation, and high-pressure relief. The group also designs fuel-draulic actuators and pneumatic valves, including butterfly, in-line, and check valves. This position has a strong focus on development-taking detailed component requirements and performing all necessary analyses and specification reviews to generate physical components. During development, performance, weight, size, and cost are critical factors. Creative solutions are often required to meet competing requirements. The group also emphasizes advanced 3D analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to support the design of highly critical components.
