About The Position

The Senior Mechanical Engineer - Equipment will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of mechanical systems and equipment in various projects, particularly in the utility and industrial sectors. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, technical writing, and familiarity with industry standards and practices. The engineer will work on large-scale projects, ensuring that designs meet specifications and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a relevant industry.
• Proficiency in technical writing and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Experience with large utility, industrial, and/or EPC projects.
• Familiarity with fabrication procedures, welding, and non-destructive testing.
• Sound knowledge of equipment and process design, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

Nice To Haves

• PE License (not required but preferred).
• Experience with control and instrumentation systems.
• Familiarity with the design and selection of power or process industry equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee mechanical systems and equipment for utility and industrial projects.
• Conduct technical writing and documentation related to engineering projects.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for project management and reporting.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with ASME and AWS Codes.
• Review and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Select and design equipment such as fans, gearboxes, pumps, and motors.
