About The Position

Develop, design, validate, and manage the implementation of new best-in-class product designs. Translate internal and external customer requirements into measurable performance criteria. Assist in the development of the schedule and budget for new product development projects. Develop technical communications: datasheets, interface control documents, test plans, etc. Design, model, and test product prototypes. Maintain and improve existing products through design and competitive analysis. Safety responsibilities include safety and housekeeping objectives; follow all safety rules and procedures and report unsafe conditions to line management. Act as project manager on a cross-functional team for development projects using PROLaunch product development process. Take necessary measures to improve the quality of product and information in the respective area of responsibility. Communication of new designs and product changes to all plants involved with the product line and monitoring of standards among all plants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of experience in product design
  • Experience with the design and manufacturing of low and medium voltage power distribution products.
  • Experience with product life-cycle management systems and their structure.
  • Predictive analysis such as CFD (thermal flow), FEA (stress analysis), and electro-magnetic
  • Strong understanding of fabrication methods for sheet metal, plastic, copper, and aluminum - UL 50, UL 67, UL 891, and proper bus joint design.
  • Practical knowledge and experience with 3D CAD tools such as PTC Creo or Inventor.
