About The Position

M&J Engineering, P.C. is seeking Senior Mechanical Construction Inspectors for our NYC projects with the Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP). M&J Engineering, P.C. Requirements

• At least 10+ years of experience in Water Supply or Wastewater Sector.
• Knowledge in industry Standards and Specifications for different agencies (NYCDEP, NYCDDC, NYCDOT etc).
• Associate degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• OSHA 30 Hours certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical work in the inspection of construction, repair & maintenance of wastewater plants and appurtenances.
• Examine the contractor's work to ensure it is being performed in accordance with the contract and shop drawings.
• Prepare daily inspection reports that summarize contractor staffing, work activities, and production levels sufficient to allow for payment.
• Review and maintain T&M records as needed.
• Prepare field assessment/data analysis on equipment condition assessments for some projects.
