About The Position

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to members more of what they love, for less. This role involves working collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets member expectations. Key aspects include maintaining an in-depth knowledge of various meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations, processing meat according to specifications, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The position also requires leveraging digital tools to enhance the shopping experience and associate engagement, driving business results through operational excellence, and acting as an advocate for the department by modeling high-quality service and products.

Requirements

  • 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
  • Successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.

  • Track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of various types and seasonality of meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations.
  • Process meat according to specifications (e.g., cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) to provide products to members.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Utilize hand-held technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality.
  • Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Drive business results by ensuring commitment to operational excellence and planning for profitability.
  • Maintain a work area according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality and standards for high-volume meat products.
  • Eliminate waste and secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
  • Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member's experience and modeling high-quality service and products.
  • Execute basics at the highest possible level of quality.
  • Interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training them for job-related duties.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, including using the Open Door Policy.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
