About The Position

We are seeking a Senior MDM & Integration Developer to support and enhance enterprise-scale Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and integration processes. This role involves maintaining and improving critical applications such as Master Person Index (MPI), Michigan Index Data Stewardship Portal (MIDSP), and related systems within the Data Warehouse/MPI program area. You will lead development efforts, ensure data integrity, streamline business processes, and provide technical oversight for integration with major applications.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience supporting enterprise-scale systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere MDM v11.x (data models, entities, transactions, batch processing).
  • 8+ years of Java/J2EE development experience (Java, JSP, REST/SOAP services).
  • 5+ years working with Linux/Unix systems (command-line, log analysis, troubleshooting).
  • Proficiency in Apache Kafka (topic creation, producer/consumer development, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with WildFly application server and batch processing.
  • Strong SQL skills in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerized environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with ELK/Elastic Stack for log monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to independently manage and support complex systems with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to OpenShift/Kubernetes and cloud-native deployments.
  • Experience integrating Kafka with WildFly and IBM MDM.
  • Knowledge of SEM/SUITE compliance and enterprise architecture standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain IBM InfoSphere MDM solutions, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
  • Design and implement integration solutions using Java/J2EE, REST/SOAP services, and Apache Kafka.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to write and optimize SQL scripts for Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Manage application deployments and configurations on Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
  • Create and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Bash) and schedule CRON jobs for automation.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git repositories.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production and non-production environments using ELK/Elastic Stack.
  • Participate in full SDLC: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide technical guidance to business analysts and integration teams.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and enterprise architecture guidelines.
