Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree combined with 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management/materials planning, quality, supply chain or related industrial environment.
  • OR a Master's degree combined with 3 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management/materials planning, quality, supply chain or related industrial environment.
  • In absence of a degree, 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management/materials planning, quality, supply chain or related industrial environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • Aerospace industry experience.
  • Experience utilizing SAP operating system.
  • Advanced knowledge of materials management strategies, Lean manufacturing system design and shop floor management.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. Lean manufacturing, CORE, QCPC).
  • CPIM certification or willingness to earn.

Responsibilities

  • Executing materials transformation initiatives and driving a strategic materials management architecture.
  • Releasing material, managing handling methods, kitting and material movement following the fundamentals of line back logistics.
  • Developing strategies and executing goals with the business units/departments and objectives to meet capacity requirements, inventory controls, cost reduction objectives, on time delivery, and control tower measures.
  • Working directly with CSMC administration, materials, operations and 3PL organizations as well as the internal manufacturing groups to redefine processes.
  • Providing leadership and direction with emphasis on change management.
  • Establishing and executing standards and expectations for work effort and performance; providing feedback on performance to those standards.
  • Implementing Lean manufacturing measures to ensure value streams and shop operations are balanced at all times.
  • Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and other organizations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Establishing system architecture designs that take into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities.
