About The Position

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You’ll be part of the Global Apparel Materials Team (GLAM), collaborating closely with Jordan Brand Sport Apparel. This role partners with Innovation, Design, Product Management, Technical Development, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams to deliver cutting-edge material solutions. You’ll report to GLAM leadership and work cross-functionally to elevate performance and style. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We’re seeking a seasoned materials developer with deep expertise in performance textiles, trims, and prints—someone who blends technical mastery with an eye for aesthetics. This individual thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates strategic thinking, and brings strong business acumen to every decision. Success in this role requires exceptional collaboration skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to manage multiple projects across seasons. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON You’ll lead seasonal material development for Jordan Sport Apparel from concept to commercialization. Using seasonal briefs as your guide, you’ll explore trends, technologies, and innovations in trims, textiles, and prints. Your work will shape the future of performance apparel. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Apparel Design, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • A minimum of 3 years directly relevant work experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of performance materials, including wovens, knits, trims, and print techniques
  • Familiarity with textile manufacturing processes and testing

Responsibilities

  • Drive material development in partnership with Jordan apparel teams and international manufacturing partners
  • Collaborate with design on ideation and risk assessments
  • Build and manage seasonal calendars and timelines
  • Execute material development and ensure buy-ready readiness
  • Maintain a strategic approach to new material creation and garment performance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align on innovation and quality standards
  • Manage multiple projects across seasons with competing priorities
