About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. In this role you will be a part of the team that perform tasks related to the design, manufacture, and operation of the New Glenn launch system’s 7-Engine and 9-Engine booster programs. You will work on welding/joining problems for various spaceflight systems that experience a wide range of environmental and loading conditions. You will specify, develop, and qualify joining processes such as laser, electron beam, gas tungsten arc, etc. on development and flight hardware for New Glenn systems. You will work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize materials and processes for new configurations while maintaining on-going support for current parts on the production. We are looking for someone with a commitment to quality to apply their technical knowledge, as well as leadership and teamwork skills to make a positive impact on safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
