About The Position

The Senior Material Program Manager at RTX Corporation plays a crucial role in the Global Supply Chain Management team, focusing on the development and execution of material program plans and subcontract management. This position is integral to ensuring the delivery of high-quality systems to customers while managing risks and opportunities throughout the program lifecycle. The role requires collaboration with various departments to align schedules and performance metrics, ultimately contributing to the success of Naval Systems & Sustainment initiatives.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with MRP Systems and tools such as PRISM and KINAXIS.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to lead efforts, including budgeting and financial management, issue and conflict resolution.
  • MPM certification level 4.
  • Experience with proposals and other strategic capture activities.
  • Experience in a Matrix organizational structure.
  • Experience with Project Management.
  • High degree of financial acumen, understand the mechanics of strong supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute material program plans and subcontract management plans.
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program responsibilities and proactively manage mitigation plans.
  • Complete quarterly financial management reviews using Earned Value Management through the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process.
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
  • Support all gate review and activity, EAC review, program review, and risk and opportunity management reviews.
  • Oversee major subcontractor execution performance.
