Raytheon’s Standard Missile 3 team is seeking an experienced supply chain manager to join the SM-3 IB program as the Lead MPM (Material Program Manager) over a team of 10-12 MPMs located onsite in Tucson, Arizona. We are looking for a self-starter who can develop and achieve program objectives in a matrixed environment and is able to successfully interface with functional and program senior leadership. In this highly visible role, you will be the liaison between Supply Chain and the Program Team for Supply Chain. You’ll create and manage the execution of Material Program Strategies and Plans to ensure the flawless execution of products and programs from the front end of the business through contract closure. This role requires advanced/applied knowledge of leading teams, material strategy, customer negotiation support, material requirements planning (MRP) process, subcontract management and project management (to include program start up as well as execution). In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of Supply Chain, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for programs or integrated product teams. The successful candidate will influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experienced leader who has worked in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
  • Proposals/Estimating and/or Basis of Estimates (BOEs) experience
  • Experience using supply chain planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing program cost and schedule
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • International procurement / supplier management experience
  • CORE or similar Six Sigma Specialist
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
  • Lead by influence in a matrixed organization
  • Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status, material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans
  • Support supplier negotiations and PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives
  • Financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts, etc.)
  • Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers
  • Management of timely and compliant quarterly Estimates At Completion (EACs) to include Risk & Opportunity management
  • Willingness to travel domestically/internationally, as required (expected to be <30%)
