About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Materials Planner to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the supply chain, supporting production schedules, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, proven experience, genuine positive attitude for the role and a deep understanding of supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage material requirements plans to meet production schedules while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensuring materials are available to meet production demands without overstocking.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, resolve supply chain disruptions, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Work closely with production teams to address material shortages, delays, or quality issues, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Analyze demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline material planning processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure all materials planning activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
