About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Senior Material Handler to join our supportive and collaborative team in Melbourne, FL. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years' hands‑on experience in a related role
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with logistics software preferred
  • 1+ years forklift experience and forklift certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
  • Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals.
  • Maintain system critical data elements.
  • May monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping.
  • Perform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement.
  • Read work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
  • Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other device.
  • Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system.
  • Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise marks information.
  • Work under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity as well as work independently.
