The Sr. Material Handler will be responsible for handling materials required for production, line setup, preparation and crating in the assembly department.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED certificate
• Previous experience in manufacturing, automation, or assembly environment
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to communicate effectively to team members and management staff
• Basic Computer skills - Microsoft office or ERP system experience required

Responsibilities

• Delivery and setup of materials for production/assembly
• Understand department workflow, processes, and assembly requirements
• Operate all types of material handling equipment such as: forklift trucks, hoists, and/or pump trucks as directed
• Mark materials and/or containers being moved to assist in identification
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Uses computer to enter records
• Drives material handling equipment to transport stored items
• Loads and unloads trailers of palletized and non-palletized product
• Utilizes manual and automated material handling equipment
• Practices and adheres to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe
• Contributes to division results and performance
• Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
