As a subject matter expert on materials and related processes, you will support various commercial and government projects that span environments from ground, to air, to space. You will assist engineers with material selection and testing, and be involved in failure analysis while collaborating with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and assembly integration & test engineers.

Requirements

• Knowledge of material selection for space environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of materials science and engineering principles.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering feedback and recommendations on new and revised designs and proposals.
• Participate in new designs and proposals: material recommendations, risk identification.
• Participate in failure analysis and material review boards.
