About The Position

Vertiv is seeking a highly organized Maser Scheduler to manage staff, implement and oversee execution phases of procurement, manufacturing, and deployment schedules for our Infrastructure Solutions Team. The role is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials across functions to ensure alignment with production, deployment, and delivery schedules. This role requires oversight of schedule development, monitoring progress, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring timely execution of end-to-end project requirements. Also in this role, you will be collaborating with customers and suppliers as well as Vertiv Procurement, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and Operations while setting tasks and monitoring the execution of project timelines. You will also prepare project progress, performance, and various other, schedule related evaluation reports. The project scheduler should possess solid industry knowledge and demonstrable experience in project scheduling utilizing Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field, with minimum of 8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Large construction project experience (>$100m)
  • Experience in construction project engineering and supervisory positions
  • Knowledgeable of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and Trade practices
  • Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to build schedules
  • Proficient use of scheduling software applications (e.g., Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6)
  • Proficient use of scheduling diagnostic and comparison tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse, Change Inspector)
  • Advanced experience conducting gap analysis and managing scheduling risks
  • Advanced knowledge of estimates for project schedule development
  • Familiar with earned value concepts and using construction resources to validate productivity and durations
  • Ability to develop metrics and track results
  • Strong analysis, critical thinking, good judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement methods and tools (e.g., lean construction)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data center design or complex technical infrastructure solutions.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading engineering teams or technical project groups.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong public‑speaking, presentation, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
  • Professional conduct including collaboration, accountability, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage high‑pressure situations while meeting deadlines.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Eligible to obtain a passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduling activities while leading, managing, and supervising project scheduling activities of Scheduling group (e.g., Scheduling Engineers, project staff, or consultants) assigned to scheduling function on one or more construction projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Perform Scheduling activities including monitoring, tracking progress, and preparing summary and detail level schedules.
  • Develop full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-generated baseline schedules for projects,
  • Communicate project execution plan, monitor performance against original baseline schedule and previous month’s forecasts, and promote early identification and mitigation of risks.
  • Collaborate with cross‑regional Vertiv engineering centers to ensure global design consistency and solution optimization.
  • Support translation of design intent into manufacturing documentation in collaboration with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Quality teams.
  • Track, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports.
  • Perform coordination of cross-functional departments to identify project issues, monitor action items, and work with the project manager to ensure resolution.
  • Develop fabrication and integration and construction schedule throughout all project phases, including RFP/Project Kick-off through Substantial Completion/Final Turnover.
  • Collaborate with project departments (i.e. Pre-Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Factory, and Construction) to prepare detailed schedules.
  • Perform monthly progress updates complete with narrative and create target comparison and periodic look-ahead schedules.
  • Conduct project schedule reviews with project leadership and provide Scheduling Dashboard statistics at internal Vertiv Operations meetings and Client facing meetings.
  • Participate in Pre-Sales and Business Development activities for proposal presentations and activities related to project scheduling and provide scheduling contract language and related documentation.
  • Provide support and training of scheduling software and planning and scheduling techniques to project and office employees.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders to promote value of scheduling and communication of overall project plans.
  • Engage with clients as Planning and Scheduling SME (subject matter expert) to educate and influence expectations for Planning and Scheduling standards, and best practices to satisfy owner standards and other requirements.
  • Conduct factory or project site progress walks to capture progress, review and verify with project team, and update schedule accordingly.
  • Challenge project team based on previous, current, and future schedule data.
  • Perform audits of project schedules using diagnostic and comparison software to validate health and quality of schedules and review risk/gap analysis of scheduling function across projects. Provide feedback to Scheduling group to mature scheduling practices.
  • Implement and educate Scheduling group to use advanced techniques (e.g., weather conditions, TIAs (Time Impact Analysis), cost and resource loading) to identify potential schedule risks and delays.
  • As required, provide historical schedule information to defend against or initiate a claim.
  • Prepare impact analysis as part of a change process
