About The Position

In this role, you will drive actionable insights that inform Player Lifecycle Marketing strategy for a large AAA gaming studio. You will partner closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure a strong data pipeline from database to reporting. You will analyze marketing A/B test results, evaluate evergreen campaign performance, and develop data-driven recommendations to optimize player engagement, retention, and post-sale monetization. You will transform complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives that connect campaign activity to measurable business outcomes — answering: What happened? Why? So what? What should we do next? This is a highly visible role within a well-known gaming franchise, offering the opportunity to influence major business decisions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of overall experience in data science, analytics, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on SQL experience
  • 5+ years of Python experience
  • 5+ years presenting data insights to stakeholders (technical and non-technical audiences)
  • 3+ years building dashboards (Power BI preferred)
  • 5+ years in data analytics including data profiling and table creation
  • Strong experience analyzing marketing campaigns and experimentation results
  • Experience identifying statistically significant campaign impact
  • Strong data visualization skills with ability to create decision-ready outputs
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into business insights and clear recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments

  • Experience in gaming industry
  • Experience with lifecycle or performance marketing analytics
  • Experience building causal inference frameworks
  • Familiarity with SparkSQL, Databricks, or Azure Data Explorer

Responsibilities

  • Perform data exploration, profiling, and proof-of-concept table creation to support engineering partners in improving the production data environment
  • Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards to help stakeholders understand campaign-level and lifecycle performance impact
  • Build and maintain causal inference frameworks and pipelines
  • Analyze marketing A/B test results and evergreen campaigns to identify statistically significant impact
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize player engagement, retention, and monetization
  • Develop prioritized action plans with clear expected business impact
  • Synthesize insights into compelling narratives that connect player behavior changes to business outcomes
  • Create executive-ready readouts including presentation decks, annotated dashboards, and written summaries
  • Build and socialize lifecycle funnel frameworks to create shared understanding across stakeholders
  • Clearly communicate assumptions, limitations, and confidence levels in analysis
  • Collaborate with marketing, product managers, and engineering to define success metrics and measurement plans
  • Provide concise and consistent cross-functional communication
  • Recommend future experiments and testing roadmap additions
