About The Position

The Office of Academic Innovation at Penn Engineering is seeking a Senior Marketing & Creative Manager to lead the execution and ongoing evolution of marketing and creative initiatives for Penn Engineering’s residential and online graduate and professional programs. This role owns the development, management, and delivery of creative assets and messaging across channels, including digital, email, editorial, web, and organic social, and serves as a key partner to admissions leadership, program teams, and external vendors. The Senior Marketing & Creative Manager plays a central role in translating strategy into high-quality, on-brand execution, ensuring consistency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement across the prospective student journey. This position requires strong creative judgment, operational rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and a growing focus on performance insights to inform future optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of related experience in higher education enrollment marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Creative Ownership & Brand Stewardship Own and manage creative development for Penn Engineering’s online and residential graduate and professional programs, including logos, digital assets, visual identity elements, and video content. Ensure all creative outputs align with Penn Engineering brand standards while supporting program-specific positioning and messaging. Serve as the primary point of accountability for creative quality, consistency, and timeliness across marketing channels.
  • Messaging & Campaign Execution Lead execution of online email marketing campaigns, including coordination of messaging, creative, and delivery in support of enrollment and engagement goals. Play a central role in translating high-level messaging frameworks into effective, audience-specific execution across email, web, and editorial channels. Support the development and execution of campaign-based marketing initiatives in collaboration with marketing leadership and admissions.
  • Editorial & Web Content Management Manage the execution of all editorial content and web copy, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with enrollment objectives. Partner with internal stakeholders to refine content for prospective students across key stages of the funnel. Coordinate updates and improvements to program pages and related content in collaboration with web and marketing partners.
  • Marketing Operations & Request Management Own and manage the marketing request intake and prioritization process for creative, content, and marketing execution across graduate and professional programs. Set clear expectations with internal stakeholders regarding scope, priority, timelines, and dependencies for marketing and creative requests. Balance incoming requests against strategic priorities, enrollment cycles, and available resources, escalating tradeoffs as needed. Execute approved requests directly and/or coordinate execution across vendors and internal partners. Continuously refine workflows and communication to improve transparency, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Organic Social Media Management Oversee the vendor responsible for organic social media strategy and execution, including content planning, creative delivery, and publishing. Ensure social content supports broader marketing priorities and reflects Penn Engineering’s voice and brand. Provide direction, feedback, and quality control to ensure effective execution.
  • Performance Awareness & Optimization Begin taking an active role in monitoring and interpreting performance metrics across email, editorial, web, and social channels. Partner with marketing leadership to assess what is working, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform future creative and messaging decisions. Support continuous improvement by applying insights from performance data to execution.
  • Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Support Collaborate closely with admissions to support recruitment events, information sessions, and yield initiatives, including creative and promotional needs. Serve as a trusted execution partner to the OAI Executive Director and Penn Engineering senior leadership team, providing ad hoc creative and marketing support as priorities arise. Work cross-functionally with program teams, admissions, and external vendors to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  • Operational Excellence & Other Duties Manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives. Maintain organized documentation and processes to support efficient execution and collaboration. Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals.
