About The Position

The Marketing and Communications Senior Specialist is responsible for leading internal communication efforts that support deeper integration of Mayo Clinic Platform (MCP) and Mayo Clinic International (MCI) into the broader enterprise. This role works in alignment with the Marketing and Communications leaders to deliver strategic messaging, strengthen cross-organizational collaboration, and enhance employee understanding and engagement.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field plus 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a way that creates clarity, simplifies messages, and aligns with organizational strategy.
  • Knowledge of channels for communication and the ability to build effective communication and engagement strategies.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently identify opportunities, solutions and resolve challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes internal communication plans that support MCP and MCI's business objectives and organizational alignment.
  • Works in close partnership with the Marketing and Communications Directors for Integrated Solutions to coordinate communication themes, timing, and enterprise alignment.
  • Supports internal rollout of key initiatives, change management efforts, and integrated communications campaigns.
  • Ensures messaging reflects the shared vision and differentiators of Mayo Clinic's international and platform-based innovations.
  • Writes and edits internal communications, including announcements, leadership messages, newsletters, etc.
  • Tailors messaging to specific internal audiences across MCP and MCI, translating complex initiatives into clear and compelling communications.
  • Manages internal communication channels such as email campaigns, intranet content, and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Monitors engagement and adjusts communication strategies based on feedback and performance metrics.
