About The Position

As our Senior Marketing Account Executive on the marine and energy team, you'll lead and coordinate marketing activities on new and renewal business as well as support Producer in sales activities. You'll do this by serving as a consultative point of contact for clients, identifying and understanding client needs, providing recommendations with supporting rationale with limited or no oversight from Producer, demonstrating strong negotiation skills, responding to Request of Proposals, participating in prospect meetings, directing and leading mid-year reviews, working closely with national leadership to drive LOB strategy and initiatives, and leading, mentoring and training other account service team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience.
  • Six years of commercial insurance industry experience.
  • Property and casualty insurance license.
  • Considerable knowledge of markets, policies, and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced.
  • Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload.
  • Leadership skills and service and team orientation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasion skills and tact.
  • Discretion and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel overnight.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree(s).
  • Insurance industry certifications in addition to necessary license.
  • Significant prior experience leading teams and/or projects.
