About The Position

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Manager, Market Research, who is an inquisitive insight professional with hands-on expertise in using primary and secondary market research, customer analytics, and data mining to derive market insights and generate actionable business recommendations. This role requires sensitivity, tact, and a clear dedication to service, as it involves making serious healthcare decisions that have far-reaching consequences. The successful candidate will be a skilled storyteller, influencer, researcher, and analyst, integrating multiple insights sources and data feeds to drive evidence-based business decisions. The role is highly collaborative, working cross-functionally to develop insights pertaining to core customers: consumers/patients, physicians, hospitals, health plans, employers, and diagnostic technology solutions. This is a remote opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or closely related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressively expanding roles in market research, data analytics, marketing, business intelligence, or related discipline.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry preferred; healthcare/life-sciences and customer experience are a strong plus.
  • 2+ years managing market research staff, actively guiding their professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cultivating information from publicly available sources.
  • Strong proficiency in designing, writing, and programming surveys with common survey tools.
  • Understanding of statistics related to interpreting market research data.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, statistical packages, database queries, and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Independently own and execute all stages of secondary and primary research for the business.
  • Manage the qualitative and quantitative research process/project from RFP to final reporting.
  • Utilize VOC/Customer Experience feedback systems to capture, analyze, and report feedback.
  • Conduct analytic planning and data analysis using various tools/resources to derive insights.
  • Package reports and presentations that extract insights from research data and convey them effectively.
  • Integrate research with internal and external data sets to uncover key insights.
  • Proactively generate and explore questions and hypotheses pertaining to Quest's business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, setting insights priorities that guide business strategies.
  • Partner in the development of insights for new products and solutions.
  • Utilize mechanisms to democratize access to insights throughout Quest.
  • Co-author thought leadership insights papers that illuminate trends and opportunities within the industry.
