Position Overview The Senior Market Intelligence Analyst, as part of the Corporate Strategy team, will be responsible for tracking industry trends, evaluating competition, and understanding market dynamics to address key business questions and support strategic decision making at the individual product and portfolio levels within Exact Sciences oncology testing business. With guidance from more senior members of the team, the Senior Market Intelligence Analyst will learn to use, implement, and manage a variety of tools to analyze and evaluate competition and markets, conduct market research, and support other corporate strategy initiatives. This position will work closely with cross-functional partners across the organization, including marketing, medical, R&D, and business development. This position will support the screening business unit. The primary function of this position is to support Competitive and Market Intelligence initiatives, but the role will also support market research and other corporate strategy initiatives and will have the opportunity to gain experience outside of core responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Business or Finance.
  • 3+ years of life science business experience with 1+ years of relevant experience in competitive intelligence, market research, commercial insights, strategy, or consulting.
  • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree in a life-sciences, technical, or analytical discipline.
  • Familiarity with medical device or drug development, including a basic understanding of clinical trials and the FDA approval process.
  • Experience in Oncology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and corporate strategy peers to help create and execute research plans that are both impactful and cost-effective.
  • Proactively monitor and evaluate the competitive environment and regularly report key updates to stakeholders, while considering broader business context, impact, and opportunities.
  • Analyze and provide insights into current and future market dynamics, including competition, novel technologies, health policy, regulatory changes, etc. to inform long-range planning.
  • Perform thoughtful and sophisticated syntheses of information from various sources, including competitive intelligence, market research, and secondary data sources to create clear, complete, and compelling reports and presentations.
  • Confidently and clearly present research findings to stakeholders both in person and virtually.
  • Collaborate and help to manage competitive intelligence (CI) agency partners to ensure CI research is conducted ethically, effectively, and on time.
  • Prepare for, attend (in-person and/or virtually), and report on key medical conferences throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with corporate strategy colleagues to support market research and other strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure assigned objectives are met and that assigned projects and other work are completed on time, to high standards and within budget.
