About The Position

SMX is seeking a motivated a Maritime Intelligence Analyst and Team Lead, The Intelligence Team Lead will assist in providing thoughtful, relevant, reliable and predictive intelligence analysis and production spanning the breadth of South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Pacific Island Countries and provide target identification and target development throughout the competition and crisis/conflict continuum to facilitate both CONOP development and support for USINDOPACOM, USSOCOM, SOCPAC and interagency planning to develop a full range of Special Operations options. The Intelligence Team Lead will review products from other SOCPAC Intel Analysts for accuracy, clarity, quality control, and consistency in coordination with SOCPAC JISE leadership and Senior Intelligence Analysts. In addition to specific duties the Maritime Intelligence Team Lead will be: Responsible for coordinating requirements for analysis and production. Responsible for planning, monitoring, and validating tasks and deliverables. Responsible for ensuring that employees’ competencies and capabilities are at the level required by the job. Interfacing with next levels of management within the Branch. Ensuring that new team members easily get integrated in the Branch. Ensuring integration and coordination with other SOJ2 Divisions and SOCPAC Directorates. This position requires a DoD TS/SCI which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts. This position is working onsite in Aiea, Hawaii.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate experience with intelligence analysis tools, search engines and databases used in the intelligence environment including but not limited to data mining, geospatial and nodal analysis tools.
  • Must possess excellent oral, writing and coordination skills to communicate information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Indo-Pacific AOR experience at the operational and strategic level
  • Master’s (MS/MA) degree in any field
  • Ten (10) years of experience (within the last 12 years) in threat, indications and warning, collection, analysis, and production and collaborating with other senior intelligence analysts.
  • Ten (10) years’ intelligence staff experience, tactical through operational/Combatant Command (COCOM)
  • Five (5) years of experience with analysis, reporting and briefing within USINDOPACOM/INDO- PAC AOR Intelligence Enterprise, the U.S. Intelligence Community, and the Interagency
  • Four (4) years of experience in DoD & Interagency Intelligence programs, asymmetric analysis, Pacific Command (PACOM)/Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) training events, and PACOM country(s) familiarization
  • Four (4) years of experience using theater and national level intelligence automated information, intelligence, and communication systems, tools, databases, and programs.
  • Four (4) years of experience in assigned region or domain (e.g., Senior C-PRC, Senior Northeast Asia, or Senior South Asia, Senior Southeast)
  • This position requires a DoD TS/SCI which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing intel support to SOF units / commands.
  • Specialty in China and support to U.S. SOF highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Maritime All Source analysis to support Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC).
  • Provide adversary-focused intelligence support on regional and functional topics.
  • Provide adversary-focused irregular and asymmetric warfare capabilities in the maritime domain.
  • Identify capabilities, limitations, and potential vulnerabilities of the adversary in support of SOCPAC targeting efforts.
  • Publish products unique to SOCPAC to include, but not limited to, Operations and Intelligence (O&I) Briefs, Deep Dives and Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with Director of National Intelligence analytic tradecraft standards (ICD 203, 205, 206 and 208).
  • Research, review, edit, plan prepare and integrate and publish all-source assessments to include CONOP development and support.
  • Must be able to conduct research and analysis at the operational- or tactical-level and communicate assessments in operational- or tactical-level analytic intelligence products and through oral briefings.
  • Analysis includes assessments identifying and describing threat actors, activities, platforms, and targets-as well as how they interact and providing an understanding of the presence, intent, and capabilities of the identified threat.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT).
  • Present formal and informational briefings to a variety of audiences. Identify collection gaps, specific collection requirements to fill gaps in the information, and evaluate reporting through evaluation and source directed requirements (SDR).
  • Demonstrate experience with intelligence analysis tools and databases used in the intelligence environment including but not limited to data mining, geospatial and nodal analysis tools.
  • Must possess excellent oral, writing and coordination skills to communicate information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Targeted Country(s).
  • Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) travel may be required.
  • Deployment: Deployments of no more than 90 days may be required throughout the theater or CONUS.
