Background investigation, US Citizenship, CAC, and a confidential security clearance are requirements of this position. Travel is 50%. • Conduct ship checks, inspections and surveys to assess the material condition and operational readiness of marine shipboard HM&E components and systems. •Assess compliance with regulatory standards and ship specification. • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while interfacing with stakeholders and cross functional teams to ensure necessary commitments and targets/deadline/goals are met. • Must be well-versed in marine and complete ship engineering systems to include but not limited to; diesel, steam, gas turbine and electric high voltage propulsion systems, auxiliary shipboard systems, marine electrical systems, deck equipment, shipboard system equipment troubleshooting, and generator overhauls. • Develop equipment operating instructions, manuals, and testing procedures for main propulsion and auxiliary systems aboard various shipboard platforms to assess equipment for proper operation within recommended manufacturer and ABS, USCG, Naval and MSC regulatory requirements.
