About The Position

As a Lead Test Engineer, a typical day will include evaluating new test technologies and methods, determining Design for Test (DFT) specifications, and coordinating with engineering staff on new product design. You will design, develop, and maintain test strategies for new and existing products that meet corporate objectives. Additionally, you will train production testing staff in function, design, and maintenance of all testing processes on the production floor. Gathering and analyzing test data to improve test coverage and efficiencies is also a key responsibility. You will be expected to follow SEL Values, continuously identify, measure, and improve processes, and understand, create, and simplify tasks. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • BSEE or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing and developing production tests
  • Strong familiarity with test equipment
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Experience with applicable programming languages
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in team environment
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in electronic design, manufacturing and testing
  • Skill in design and construction of test fixtures and test stations
  • Experience in writing test procedures and test documentation
