Manufacturing Technology Packaging Staff Engineers work in a participative team-based environment, using World Class Operations (WCO) processes and principles, the Staff Engineer participates on teams developing, designing, installing and starting-up new products, product improvements and technology upgrades for larger projects. Plans and leads small to medium sized projects. Provides thorough and practical solutions to complex problems with minimal assistance. Works under general management and completed work is checked for technical soundness and accuracy. Contacts are usually intra-organizational and more frequently with outside suppliers and consultants

Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Degree in BSME, BSEE or BSChE
  • Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, Emulate 3D
  • CI method
  • Able to influence and accomplish work through others
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coach and develop self and others while completing work assignments
  • Experience with team interaction techniques

Responsibilities

  • Capital Project Management, Design, and Construction Management
  • Technical Problem Solving and Engineering Services
  • Project Technical Feasibility Evaluations
  • Engineering Administrative Duties
  • Support process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in technical seminars for departmental or cross functional training in order to stay up to date on current trends, changes, and technological advancements
  • Trains and coaches on site operations and maintenance teams
  • Develop personal skills on new engineering techniques, etc.
  • Advocate for engineering innovation within functional department
  • Deliver project safety performance objectives
  • Support project objectives during planning and execution
  • Support cost savings initiatives and project spending objectives
  • Provides technical expertise and insight to the team on business and engineering needs and proposals
  • Support and drive regulatory compliance within project teams
  • Lead multiple projects in accordance with Clorox Project Management Standards to achieve required results, timing, and budgetary targets
  • May lead multiple projects over $1MM
