About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for safety and quality minded Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join the Emergent Operations leadership team in Auburn Washington. A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and business unit goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Auburn.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Willing to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in leading and developing teams to execute to safety, compliance, quality and cost
  • 3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
  • 3+ years of experience in coaching, guiding and mentoring teams
  • 3+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment

Responsibilities

  • Leads by demonstrating and holding all accountable to the Boeing Values and Behaviors
  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
