About The Position

Senior Manufacturing Manager – Space Launch Systems Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join our dynamic Space Launch Systems (SLS) team at our Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA. Position Responsibilities: Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)
  • More than 3 years of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment.
  • More than 1 year of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • More than 1 year of experience in implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements.
  • Experience with Conflict Management and Conflict Resolution.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
