About The Position

Provide a broad knowledge of seasoned professional engineering support to manufacturing operations and plant facility maintenance. Initiate and prepare specifications for products, equipment, tooling, processes and systems to obtain optimum cost and quality manufacturability Implement and utilize strategies to ensure concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing concepts with the design engineering team Design, develop, justify and guide the installation of new engineering concepts, equipment, tooling, processes and systems through appropriate procedures so that optimum manufacturing cost can be achieved and maintained. Develop and implement solutions and monitor the results. Assist hourly personnel and supervisor in their efforts to improve their operations Work through leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of engineering problem solving and quality techniques
  • Sound understanding of production, inventory, financial principles and working knowledge of lean principles.
  • Three to Five year's work experience in manufacturing environment with focus on manufacturing engineering
  • Strong understanding of Lean concepts and toolset
  • Team facilitation experience and ability to gain buy-in and drive change
  • Must have strong project management and project execution skills
