About The Position

Our client, an established, international and well-known organization with roots in WNY (located in the South Towns), is looking to hire a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their Complex CNC Milling team. Requirements

5+ years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, Associate’s degree with 8+ years’ experience, High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years’ experience
Excellent computer skills
Knowledge/experience in 5-Axis CNC Milling with CAD/CAM
Hands-on machining experience (set up and operation) with a variety of materials
Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong organization skills and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Self-motivated, driven, energetic, great personality and communication skills
Willingness to travel, as needed
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available

Responsibilities

Spearhead the creation of complex manufacturing processes utilizing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives
Perform end-to-end process engineering from raw material to finished product
Analyze and revamp current production processes with a hands-on approach and engagement with floor level team members
Develop SOPs with detailed work instructions for programs, tooling/gauge lists, operations sequences, etc.
Run tests to prove process implementation and ensure floor team is trained appropriately
Provide estimates for labor ratios, time standards, and run quantities for complex parts to contribute to cost estimates for new business as well as process improvements
Research, analyze, and implement new equipment/technologies for capital improvements
Advocate for automated manufacturing tools to reduce labor and decrease variability
Act as an owner and lead the engineering portion of specific manufacturing projects
Collaborate with various internal team members—engineering, operations, technicians, quality, etc.—in an effort to streamline operations and complete projects in a timely manner
Complete special projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned/as necessary
