Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include development and implementation of best practices and new processes, identifying and driving process improvements, ownership of new product launches, serving as a technical expert for the company and customers, leadership and mentoring of less experienced peers, and new equipment and process specification and design. The candidate for this position must have demonstrated the application of best practices and lessons learned, complex mechatronics design/quoting/implementation experience, process development, value stream mapping and improvement, and creativity to develop World Class Processes with our Operations, Tool & Die, QA, HR, and Facilities teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Includes, but may not be limited to the following: Utilizes complex data analysis techniques to identify and correct process variances. Represents the Check-Mate Engineering organization as a technical leader on projects to internal and external customers. Leads and manages teams during product and process development. Provides operations and supplier support domestically and internationally. Leads and participates in design reviews, owning and resolving action items. Interacts with senior external personnel (customers/suppliers) on significant technical matters requiring coordination within and between organizations. Must have a thorough understanding of ERP systems, including process-specific data collection, validation, and presentation. Key expectations for this position include high-level problem-solving, along with technical leadership in the development of new processes. Senior manufacturing engineers will be required to make sound technical decisions, provide mentoring and leadership to junior engineers, and manage expenses and requirements of assigned tasks. This position will require effective communications with other engineers, tooling designers, maintenance, operators, engineers from other disciplines, along with line and program management customers, and our Executive Team.
