About The Position

Daher Aircraft Company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manufacturing Engineer with 10+ years of experience in aerospace production environments to lead process design, optimization and production organization. This position combines technical depth with organizational leadership, ensuring compliance to type design requirements while guaranteeing product manufacturability and production efficiency. The role will serve as a key partner to the Manufacturing Engineering Lead, providing hands-on support and guiding initiatives that position Kodiak for success in 2026 and beyond.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a highly technical environment (aerospace preferred).
  • Proficiency in CAD (Siemens NX preferred).
  • Skilled in mBOM/eBOM reconciliation using PLM systems (TeamCenter preferred).
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining mBOM and routings in ERP (Epicor E10 and/or SAP preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in Lean manufacturing implementation and production line balancing.
  • Ability to develop detailed work instructions and process documentation for complete manufacturing files.
  • Solid knowledge of material properties, processing, and systems (electrical, mechanical, fluids, heat transfer).
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, including machining, welding, composites, and assembly.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication across all organizational levels and with suppliers.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects independently.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% for supplier support.

Responsibilities

  • Process Design & Optimization: Develop and improve manufacturing methods, including mBOMs, routings, procedures, layouts, tooling, and fixtures for aircraft structures, component machining, avionics installation, and final assembly while ensuring compliance with type design requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Design for Manufacturability: Review new designs and engineering changes to ensure manufacturability.
  • Change Management: Ensure all type design changes are properly incorporated into the manufacturing plan, work instructions, and mBOM, and all mBOM changes adhere to configuration management processes.
  • Production Support: Review, analyze and validate design change requests from production teams for feasibility, cost impact, and technical justification.
  • Equipment & Tooling: Evaluate, test, and select production equipment, tools, and materials in collaboration with the tooling team, production and purchasing team.
  • Cost Analysis: Prepare cost estimates for quotations and make-or-buy decisions.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and inspection plans in partnership with Quality.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and analyze manufacturing KPIs to monitor process health and drive continuous improvement.
  • Quality & Compliance: Participate in Material Review Board activities and risk analysis; define and document rework instructions.
  • Training & Support: Train operators and assemblers on processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers to resolve non-conformities and improve supplier performance.
  • Business Case Development: Prepare ROI analyses and present recommendations for new equipment, processes, and productivity initiatives.
