About The Position

You will apply knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes, tooling and fixturing design and applications. You will develop and implement improvements to manufacturing and its procedures and processes through improved layout and material handling procedures. You will train factory operators in the use of equipment, tooling and procedures. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility. You will be leading events such as Shop Floor and Rapid Improvement Events to achieve factory cost-out targets in your support area. You will conduct a line capacity analysis and lead labor productivity improvement initiatives to achieve the business objective. You will specify, design, quote, install, debug, and maintain equipment for use in manufacturing. You will support other key plant processes and provide cross-functional support as directed. You will design processes utilizing PFMEA, document controls, method sheets, standard operating procedures, etc. LI-LD1

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • All candidates must currently reside within 70 miles of Arden, NC to be considered.
  • Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Training and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC and related software (Microsoft Office, ERP SAP, AS400, AutoCAD).
