Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline required.
Minimum of five (5) or more years of engineering work experience required.
3d CAD experience (Creo Parametric preferred).

Nice To Haves

Experience working with plastic joining, mechanical fixture design and automated processes preferred.
Project management training, certificate preferred, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts preferred.
This role may require less than 5% of travel, domestically. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

Evaluates manufacturing processes by analyzing and applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. Soliciting observations from operators.
Modify and optimize manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, manufacturing methods and equipment options to reduce scrap and increase productivity.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assures product and process quality by implementing methods to validate process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; and estimating future requirements.
Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
Able to perform process validations and equipment validations.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
