About The Position

The role supports plant leadership by improving manufacturing processes and driving cost-saving initiatives. It also involves executing strategic plans in compliance with regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements to help meet business and financial goals. In this role you will: Design & Optimization: Develop and guide cell layouts and manufacturing flows for safety, productivity, ergonomics, and efficiency. Maintain standardized work elements and lead process innovation. Safety Leadership: Identify hazards, ensure equipment meets specs, enforce safety standards, and train teams on safety practices. Continuous Improvement: Lead cost-out and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives. Drive metrics, visual controls, and accountability in process improvements. Problem Solving: Conduct root cause and failure analysis. Apply and teach critical thinking to improve cost, quality, and performance. Product Development Support: Participate in design reviews and new product development to ensure manufacturability. Lead and track PROLaunch project deliverables and metrics. Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects, manage budgets and timelines, and coordinate communication across teams and stakeholders. Change Management: Drive and sustain process changes using ADKAR and other change management techniques. Capital Planning: Guide equipment selection and develop Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) for new initiatives. Technology & Systems: Use advanced tech to enhance information systems and reduce waste in factory floor data flow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of engineering experience, including internships.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Detailed knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques - i.e. value stream mapping, one piece flow, 5S, Standard work, visual controls, etc.

  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
