In this role, you'll play a key part in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes by analyzing products and methods to ensure top-tier performance and reliability. Your expertise will drive on-time, cost-effective hardware delivery while exceeding customer expectations for quality and performance. You will collaborate with the Integrated Product Team to design, control, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and systems. Your focus will be on project management, task tracking, and leading other Manufacturing engineers to find solutions based on your experience. This person must be skilled and aligned with our fast-paced operations.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience or in absence of a degree 9 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Process, Equipment Validation, Certification, and refurbishment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Problem-Solving Methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with military and industry standards.
  • Solid interpersonal skills - ability to communicate and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Prior experience in Explosives and/or Energetics.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Project management.
  • Electrical diagram knowledge to create and read.

Responsibilities

  • Support a manufacturing area as part of a cross-functional team by guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes.
  • Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling design, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, and product designs.
  • Work as part of a cohesive team with test engineering, product engineering, system engineering, program management and Operations.
  • Communicate effectively within and outside of own team to explain facts, policies, and practices of the work area.
  • Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.
  • Adhere to all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
  • All other duties as assigned.
