About The Position

BeOne Medicines is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Packaging Engineer to join our team at the Hopewell, NJ site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, operation and support of the oral solid dosage packaging line and equipment. This role will collaborate closely with operations, quality and facilities teams to ensure equipment reliability and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, oral solid dose engineering, and/or project management.
  • At least 5 years of packaging engineering experience in biologics or pharmaceutical environment including oral solid dosage.
  • Experience with oral solid dosage packaging equipment including unscramblers, tablet fillers, cappers, labelers and cartoners.
  • Experience with serialization equipment and vision systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and proactive decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a packaging engineer supporting the small molecule packaging line at the Hopewell site.
  • During the CAPEX project, will serves as the PM for the project responsible for Cost, Schedule, Safety and supervision of the construction.
  • Provides technical support to the packaging group regarding the design, operation and reliability of the oral solid dosage packaging line and equipment.
  • Provide technical support of serialization set up, operation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide SME support for capital projects within the packaging area.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the packaging processes from project initiation through launch as well as life cycle management in alignment with regulatory and commercial manufacturing requirements.
  • Initiate/review/author change controls, deviations, CAPAs, and risk assessments.
  • Develop set up, preventive maintenance and operating procedures for the packaging line equipment.
  • Identify and manage critical spare parts for the area.
  • Contribute to process and operational improvements for the packaging equipment within the Hopewell Site.
