The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Fabrication will be responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by leading continuous improvement /cost-out initiatives across the organization while developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes. Additional responsibility includes executing the organization's strategic plan consistent with federal, state, and local regulations, established industry standards, and customer requirements. The candidate needs to be able to think outside the box, encompassing lean and manufacturing engineering principles, day in and day out. In this role you will: Design and optimize manufacturing cells and flow lines with a focus on safety, efficiency, ergonomics, and waste reduction. Develop and maintain standardized work processes and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements. Lead process development, cost‑out initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts using Lean and Six Sigma methods. Conduct root‑cause analysis, drive corrective actions, and improve process capability and performance. Support design-for-manufacturability, new product introductions, and cross‑functional engineering collaboration. Manage and execute projects, including planning, budgeting, communication, and change management (ADKAR). Contribute to capital equipment selection and prepare Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs). Leverage technology to improve information flow and eliminate operational waste. Participate in manufacturing assessments and may serve as a category lead.
