Join our Bioprocess Engineering Technical Pilot Plant (BPE-TPP) team as a Senior Manufacturing Associate. In this role, you'll directly contribute to advancing life-saving biological therapies from early development through late-stage manufacturing. BPE-TPP executes intermediate-scale manufacturing of biological molecules used in Sanofi development projects. BPE-TPP also supports and executes technology innovations for process intensification working in collaboration with other development groups. Requirements

  • This position requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in protein manufacturing processes, ideally at pilot scale or GMP manufacturing.
  • A basic understanding of biological processes such as cell culture, harvest and purification operations.
  • Cell culture metabolite monitoring and analysis.
  • Ability to closely work within a team and set priorities.
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends and holidays.
  • Aseptic technique knowledge.
  • Documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using DeltaV and Unicorn in the operation of bioprocessing skids.
  • Using single use technology in the operation of Fed Batch bioreactors.
  • Familiarity with cell culture perfusion processes.
  • Seed train expansion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement – at the individual, department and organizational level.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a variety of communication and working styles.

Responsibilities

  • Execute electronic batch records used in up and downstream operations.
  • Prepare single-use assemblies, buffers and solutions used in the manufacturing process.
  • Perform routine equipment calibration and qualifications.
  • Operate equipment such as bioreactors, metabolite analyzers, chromatography and filtration skids.
  • Maintain sufficient levels of supplies.
  • Assist in creating standard operating procedures and electronic batch records.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration activities to ensure equipment readiness.
  • Participate in implementing new technologies related to intensified continuous bioprocessing.
