About The Position

Ramboll is currently seeking a senior-level environmental or occupational epidemiologist to join our Health Sciences team as a Senior Managing Consultant. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience that includes working in a consulting environment, project and people management, familiarity with regulatory risk assessments of chemicals and non-infectious agents, interaction with regulatory agencies (e.g., USEPA), and a proactive approach with strong initiative and problem-solving skills. Experience and interest in business development is desirable. When you join us, you will provide technical leadership and will contribute to advanced solutions in the human health sciences with applications to the chemical, manufacturing, energy, pharmaceutical, government, and/or legal sectors.

Requirements

  • An academic degree in Epidemiology, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience including project and people management, familiarity with regulatory risk assessments of chemicals and non-infectious agents, and interaction with regulatory agencies (e.g., USEPA).
  • Ability to manage diverse teams as well as external client and regulatory agency relationships.
  • Orientation toward quantitative methods and knowledge of modern causal inference methods.
  • Possesses leadership capabilities and has strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing projects to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget by managing competing priorities, anticipating obstacles, and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Working directly with clients and regulatory agency relations.
  • Providing subject matter expertise in epidemiology and its application to human health risk assessment and systematic reviews of scientific evidence.
  • Demonstrating thought leadership, through activities such as presenting and publishing scientific findings, testifying at administrative and/or court hearings, and participating in local, national, and international scientific and/or trade group meetings.
  • Maintaining a high degree of autonomy while collaborating effectively with colleagues across disciplines and business units.
  • Guiding staff in their careers and promoting staff development.
