The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team: RTX is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Workforce Intelligence (Data Architect) to join our team.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Prior experience as a Data Architect or Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Snowflake and data integration technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with middleware systems for data exchange and process integration.
  • Prior experience in SFTP protocols for secure file transfer and data processing.
  • Prior experience implementing and managing data governance frameworks and data quality controls.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and best practices for data security and privacy.
  • Project Management skills, including leading projects, planning, and delivering within deadlines.
  • Prior experience utilizing problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, data processing workflows, and high-volume data environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certification in Snowflake or relevant cloud data services.
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and microservices architecture.
  • Experience integrating large data sets with enterprise performance management tools like Workday Adaptive Planning or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement data architecture solutions to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational data needs.
  • Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and middleware platforms, ensuring robust data integration and efficient storage solutions.
  • Manage secure data transfers using SFTP protocols while ensuring compliance with company and industry data protection standards.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data controls to ensure the integrity and reliability of data across systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements, translating them into actionable technical solutions.
  • Lead project management efforts for data-related initiatives, including project planning, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate with business and IT teams to ensure smooth project delivery, addressing risks and dependencies proactively.
  • Perform data modeling, schema design, and ETL/ELT development to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Analyze and resolve data-related technical issues, ensuring system performance and scalability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture designs, processes, governance policies, and integrations.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, middleware, and cloud platforms to recommend and implement improvements.
