Position Summary: The Warehouse Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the warehouse operate efficiently and in compliance with established procedures and for ensuring service excellence to Clinical and Research Labs. The position manages all operational functions including; inbound, put away, order fulfillment, outbound, cycle counts and inventory maintenance in Redwood City warehouse to ensure standardized operating procedures are followed. This individual will be responsible for building high performing teams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years progressive supply chain or warehouse leadership experience
  • 5+ years direct people management with multi site oversight
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience in regulated biotech, diagnostics, or pharma environment
  • Proven experience leading teams through scale or transformation
  • Effective verbal and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented.
  • Lead ERP/WMS optimization and system enhancements, word processing, project management, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

  • Management of all operational functions including; inbound, put away, order fulfillment, outbound, cycle counts, inventory maintenance, and equipment.
  • Develop/update standardized operating procedures.
  • Manage employees and contractors, providing guidance on goals, delivery expectations and bringing clarity and resolution to any potential issues.
  • Day to Day task and project management driving to execution.
  • Monitor and maintain the inventory on hand for all warehouse and lab locations.
  • Manage the transfer of materials to and from Union City and Palo Alto warehouse to Redwood City warehouse.
  • Actively monitor and track all inbound & outbound logistics, following up with carriers to address bottle necks and ensure speedy delivery of patient samples to lab teams.
  • Manage annual budget and cost control, while developing annual cost reduction roadmap
  • Warehouse footprint strategy, capacity and scalability planning
  • Cross functional alignment with Supply Chain, Finance, Clinical Ops, QA, and IT
  • Enforce company policy to be SOX compliant.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with SOX, GMP, and maintain audit readiness for internal and external audits
  • Develop/update SOPs; ensure direct reports follow established guidelines to produce and accurate and high quality of services in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Identify, develop, and implement solutions for operational opportunities and process improvement.
  • Understand and meet internal and external customers and service level expectations
  • Develop a culture of collaboration, engagement, inspire commitment and encourage mutual support.
  • Drive change in culture towards lean and continuous improvement principles
  • Provide general and day-to-day supervision and direction to Supervisors and Material Handling personnel
  • Own deviation, CAPA, and NCR governance for warehouse operations
  • KPI governance and performance dashboard ownership
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
