The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is seeking a Senior Manager for USTA Leagues to manage and oversee all aspects of the USTA League program. This role involves providing direction, support, and supervision of the USTA League program, including personnel review for the Coordinator of USTA Leagues. The Senior Manager will serve as the National League Administrator and be the primary point of contact for the USTA League program for all USTA staff and USTA Sections. Responsibilities include supporting USTA Sections on growth strategies, leading USTA League meetings, ensuring budget compliance, and collaborating with various departments to enhance engagement and communication with USTA League providers and participants. The position also requires travel for workshops, conferences, and meetings as necessary.

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the USTA League program
  • Provide direction, support, and supervision of the USTA League program
  • Supervise and conduct personnel reviews for the Coordinator of USTA Leagues
  • Serve as the National League Administrator and on League Leadership as per USTA League Regulations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the USTA League program for all USTA staff and USTA Sections
  • Serve as Staff Liaison to USTA League Committee and USTA Regulation Subcommittee
  • Support USTA Sections on growth strategies related to USTA Leagues
  • Lead all USTA League meetings including monthly staff calls and in-person meetings
  • Partner with the Director of Adult Competition on growth opportunities and strategic initiatives
  • Serve as a member of the NTRP Operations Team
  • Ensure budgets do not exceed approved levels
  • Work closely with USTA technology partners for Tennis Link functionality
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, Digital, and Membership Departments
  • Assist in the development of the Serve Tennis USTA League platform
  • Ensure proper delegation of responsibilities for League National Championships and League National Invitationals
  • Work cross-functionally on other USTA duties and projects as requested
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Identifiable tennis background
  • Proven track record of success in a team league environment
  • Outstanding management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Initiative and persistence in completing tasks
  • Excellent Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Exceptional conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability in budget management
  • USTA League knowledge is highly preferred
  • NTRP and TennisLink knowledge is highly preferred
