Ingredion is hiring a Senior Manager to lead the US and Canada General Accounting and Indirect Tax functions, while supporting the Controllers Organization globally. Based in Tulsa, this role reports to the Director, Tulsa IGS and will oversee a team of 10-15 accountants, including indirect leadership of team members in Guadalajara, MX. The Senior Manager will collaborate across finance, sales, customer success, technology, legal, and other business areas to lead accounting operations, indirect tax, and controllership initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Accounting or CPA certification (required).
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, including 7+ years leading accounting teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a multinational, matrixed organization and public accounting (preferred).
  • Skilled in SAP, VERTEX, and advanced Excel.
  • Experienced in shared services environments (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Hire, coach, and develop accounting staff by setting clear expectations and managing performance.
  • Lead the Month-End Close process, including trial balance reviews, journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation loads.
  • Oversee the Indirect Tax Department, including filings, payments, and compliance.
  • Drive multiple Corporate Finance & Accounting projects to improve close process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support acquisition integration efforts and ERP ledger mapping (e.g., SAP).
  • Ensure strong internal control design and SOX compliance.
  • Present monthly operating reviews and financial results to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
