About The Position

The Senior Manager - US International Tax has a key role in the Tax Organization reporting to the Senior Director of International Tax. This position will be responsible for US International tax quarterly and year-end provision, compliance and support planning initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with cross functional business stakeholders to optimize the company’s tax position and ensure compliance with U.S. and international tax regulations. You must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and to work closely and proactively with numerous functional teams across our organization. This position will be based in Santa Clara, California, USA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of relevant international tax experience, with strong emphasis on U.S. international tax rules and their practical application within a multi-jurisdictional company.
  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with a high level of integrity.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
  • MS Excel skills required, experience with onesource provision software and/or ERP environment a plus
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to identify and resolve issues
  • Capable of conducting independent tax research and applying findings to practical situations
  • Team player who builds strong working relationships across departments

Nice To Haves

  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, MST, JD/LLM, or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Combination of Big 4 (or equivalent) and industry experience highly preferred. Proven technical expertise in multinational tax operations and cross-border tax planning.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and review of US international tax compliance (e.g., 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992, 1118), ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Oversee preparation and review U.S. international tax calculations related to GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, foreign tax credits (FTCs), Section 987, CAMT and other relevant areas for quarterly and year-end tax provision.
  • Support international tax planning projects, including preparing tax models to evaluate cross-border transactions, entity structures, and business initiatives
  • Conduct research and prepare tax technical memorandums to document the Company’s tax positions
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic tax planning for US International tax matters
  • Partner with business leaders, finance, treasury, legal and external advisers on business, transactions, and tax planning matters
  • Monitor and analyze changes in US international tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide support for tax audit and tax controversy matters, including assisting with the preparation of responses to tax authority information requests on US International tax issues.
  • Use tax technology and data tools to automate and streamline tax processes
  • Support ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed
