Position Summary: As part of our global HR transformation and implementation of our first global HRIS, we are building the foundational infrastructure for our Total Rewards function. The Senior Manager, Total Rewards will architect and operationalize this function to support a growing, international organization. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You will design, implement, and oversee global compensation, payroll, benefits, leave management, and compliance programs while establishing the systems, governance, and controls required for scale. As the owner of our HR technology ecosystem and total rewards operations, you will lead HRIS implementation and optimization, oversee U.S. payroll operations, administer competitive benefits programs, and ensure regulatory compliance. Partnering closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT, you will align programs with business objectives while driving rigor, structure, and long-term sustainability. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of compensation, benefits, payroll, and leave regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in enterprise HRIS and payroll platforms.
  • Solid understanding of payroll tax and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, and benefits.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a mid-to-large organization.
  • Hands-on experience HRIS implementation and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end HR technology ecosystem (HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, integrations)
  • Lead implementation, configuration, testing, upgrades, and ongoing optimization.
  • Establish global data governance, reporting standards, controls, and security protocols.
  • Partner with IT and vendors to ensure system integrity and scalability.
  • Manage a payroll team member and provide leadership oversight for U.S. payroll operations ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency.
  • Support audits, compliance, and documentation standards related to payroll.
  • Oversee health, retirement, leave, and wellness programs.
  • Manage broker and carrier relationships, renewals, cost analysis and plan design.
  • Lead open enrollment strategy and employee communications.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, wage & hour).
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess programs impact.
  • Lead audits and manage required filings (DOL, VETS, EEOC, AAP, OSHA).
  • Develop and implement total rewards programs aligned to business strategy.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis.
  • Partner with HR and executive leadership to support growth and talent strategy.
